New Course and Slope Ratings

On October 23, 2000, the CSGA informed Ellington Ridge Country Club of new course and slope ratings that had been determined for our club. 

The new information was forwarded by the USGA to to GHIN system of the USGA and will be incorporated into handicap calculations.

The CSGA is rerating all course in the State of Connecticut to include some important modifications in the rating system adopted in 1994.  Rerating usually results in course rating and slope changes, but there is no pattern to the direction or amount of change.For those interested, the rating process is described in Sections 13 and 14 of the USGA Handicap System Manual.
